Position Descriptions
Presidents/Co-Presidents: will be present at all P.T.A. meetings and functions. Oversee all P.T.A. committees. The President/Co-Presidents will be part of the SLT, Title I and the President’s Council which are held once a month respectively. This is a core position.
1st Vice President: will assist the President/Co-Presidents in tasks that are needed. He/She will be in charge of one major fundraiser committee. Attend all P.T.A. meetings and functions.
2nd Vice President: will assist the President/Co-Presidents in tasks that are needed. He/She will be in charge of one major fundraiser committee. Attend all P.T.A. meetings and functions.
Recording Secretary: will take minutes at all executive and general P.T.A. meetings. Need to type minutes and make them available at executive meetings. Have a record of attendance at executive meetings. Make sure the principal has all necessary documents filed in her/his office. Attend all P.T.A. meetings and functions. This is a core position
Treasurer: will be responsible for all financial affairs and recording of funds for the P.T.A. Preparation of the Jan 31st interim and June annual accounting reports must be done. Reimbursements and invoice payments must be done once a month. Budget report must be available at every meeting. Attend all P.T.A. meetings and functions. This is a core position.
Corresponding Secretary: will be in charge of making sure all ‘occasion’ cards (i.e. sympathy, get well, etc.) are sent out to the staff. Prepare and send invitations for special events. Obtain information and prepare a monthly calendar on a timely basis. Send out all P.T.A. notices for upcoming meetings. Attend all P.T.A. meetings and functions.
